Richard Sanchez Pace, known as Pacefactor, is an artist based in East, Southeast Texas. Born in Rota, Spain, and raised in Houston, Texas, Pace’s diverse experiences have significantly shaped his artistic journey. A Navy veteran stationed in Japan from 2008 to 2012, his time in the Far East Pacific region profoundly influences his work, blending Eastern and Western elements.
He has a background in physical security, contract work, IT, and network security which influences his approach to integrating technology with his art. He is also skilled in traditional carpentry and has a wide range of interests in technology, philosophy, science, history, theology, and the occult - all of which inform his symbolic and thought-provoking artwork.
Pace’s design philosophy draws heavily from the Bauhaus movement, with its emphasis on functional form and clean lines, as well as Suprematism’s geometric abstraction. These influences, combined with the emotional depth and oddity of surrealism and expressionism, shape the way Pace explores symbolism, esotericism, and semiotics. His practice incorporates digital art, graphic design, and game design, blending traditional techniques with cutting-edge technologies to create visually dynamic and conceptually rich works.
Throughout his career, Pacefactor has exhibited his work at events, vendor shows, and conventions, and has taken on numerous commissioned projects. His art continues to evolve, pushing boundaries and blending historical influences with contemporary practices to engage and inspire audiences.
